Presenting Your Bathroom

1. When presenting your bathroom keep it free from clutter. Clean Clear surfaces will make the room look bigger. Avoid displaying your entire collection of unused bath foams and children’s toys.
2. Make sure your bathroom is clean especially your toilets! Use a good old fashions cream cleaner to clean everything and to remove lime scale from services you can use a saucepan scourer!
3. Remove old carpets and lay a new piece of lion or some self adhesive floor tiles, most DIY stores now sell a budget range, though on occasions pound shops to often have  tiles! Choose something neutral and pattern free to make the room look larger!
4. Remove curtains and hang a blind, blinds are no longer expensive, several high street stores including Wilkinson’s and Argos now sell a good range of blinds from bamboo roller blinds which start from as little as a couple of pounds.
5. If your taps or suite are in bad repair then ask the landlord to fix them but don’t leave this to the last minute as they are likely to want to inspect it, the bathroom is the 2nd room in the house that potential swappers consider priority, and its not size it is the condition they are concerned with!
6. If you have a tiled wall and the grout has become stained you can scrap out old grout and replace it. Grout can be bought in powdered or ready made tubs.
7. Check the sealant around the bath, shower and sink. If it is no longer sealing the gaps, ask the landlord to come and reseal it.
8. If you bathroom is very dark, paint it in a light colour and add a mirror to help reflect the light.
9. For finishing touches you could add scented candles, white hand towels, and a leafy green plant to create that fresh clean feeling.
